I'm gonna use my DM920 as a sat>ip server only - looking for suggestion about the image

    Hello everyone, after some searching, i found the DM920 + FBC tuner/s to be one of the best "consumer grade" sat>ip server solutions when it comes to deal with an high number of available tuners (i cannot found another solution under/around 400$ with an 8 tuners setup).


    That means i'm not gonna use this unit as a set-top-box: all that is expected to run here is minisatip (or tvheadend) + a softcam like oscam (or similar).


    Now the question is: can you suggest me the best "vanilla linux like" image available for the DM920?


    I would say that the requirements are:

    - FBC tuners to be fully supported

    - good availability of up-to-date libraries/packages
