Subject: Release openDroid 8.1 based on oe-alliance 6.0

    Body:

    openDroid 8.1 based on oe-alliance 6.0

The new version 8.1 delivers much better performance. We have created a brand new structure based on Python 3, making it significantly different from previous versions!

Built on the oe-alliance 6.0 core, image 8.1 is much faster and smoother, with many bugs successfully fixed. This new Enigma2 build is designed to stay at the forefront of modern technology.

Version 8.1 features a completely new default skin, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank the skinner MCelliotG. Huge thanks also go to oktus for the bootlogo and most of the graphics for the image, the upload panel, and the forum!

You can download the new image directly from our official center:

    • Dreambox: dm900, dm920

We invite you to test it. If you find any bugs, please let us know; we will be happy to work together with you to build an unparalleled image!

We deeply thank all the Beta testers who helped build this wonderful image. Without them, we would never be able to release anything new! In particular, we thank Formiano, Gimsy, MCelliotG, oktus, stein17, pippomus... and finally, a big thank you to all other staff members and everyone who supports the OpenDroid project every day!

  • I really enjoy using OpenDroid software. In previous versions, we couldn't use the left and right arrow keys to change channels; we had to use the up and down arrow keys. I want to be able to use the left and right arrow keys like in the original Enigma2 version. Also, it used to ask if we wanted to save the time shift every time we changed channels, which was annoying. I haven't tried this new software yet, I hope it doesn't have the problems I mentioned.

  • I tried this too, it's ridiculous, every time I change channels it asks if I want to save the time shift. Why? It doesn't change channels normally. This issue only happens with OpenDroid software, in my opinion it's a waste of time.

    Hi,

    I understand your frustration,

but if you feel the need to complain and say that the image is a waste of time,

why don't you create one entirely on your own? That way,

you won't be able to complain to yourself.

    Regards

I don't disturb anyone. But equally I don't want to be disturbed :head banger:

  • This isn't a complaint, it's a request. Why am I being asked about time shift? It doesn't just change channels directly. As I mentioned in my previous message, I like OpenDroid software, and I'm only bothered by this one issue. I just want it to change channels directly and not ask about time shift.

Meanwhile, I wish you good work and hope my wish comes true. Have a good day.
