I would like to know how to record on the hdd using vu+ solo black hole. When I record the program and I go to see the recorded files everything seems to be in order and i would be able to watch the recorded files, however I when I unplug the hdd and re-plug it I get a message saying "No displayable files on this medium found" and then I would have to record again and I get another message "No hdd found or hdd not initialized" when I would have already initialized it in the beginning. I would like to know what I can do in order to record properly? Please can someone help me?

Whenever you connect or disconnect a device you need to setup mountpoints so you can record and playback from the same directory.
Blue Button X2 >> Devices Manager >> save the location as media/hdd >> Reboot.

Just to add to the above, devices need to be unmounted with linux, unplugging them and plugging back in is not a good way to do it, all of these options can be found as G described above through device manager.
So to remove unmount.
Plug back in, mount the device to it's correct path again.
Or simply leave the hdd alone :)

I had my hdd plugged in and my father accidentally unplugged it without unmounting it. Now the problem is that I can lose all of the data that I have stored on it. Can anyone tell me how to remount the hdd without losing everything please? Thanks in advance

Just plug it in and re-mount..
Mounting doesn't erase anything..Initialisation/Formatting does...

Well thanks for your help, since I was really worried that I could've lost everything. Thanks again :)
