  • this is depressing me now. i have my server working perfectly internally but when i port forward i get nothing. can someone help me go through each individual file on oscam and cccam and dissect this problem so i can get this working once and for all?

any suggestions on where to start would be great.

  • i did try to install an updater on my server by terminal but im not sure if it completed as i got lost and gave up. surely i could use the current ip address to eliminate DNS?

Well if it did install you can check or reconfigure it with this,

    Code
    dpkg-reconfigure ddclient

Check its not active anywhere else & see how you get on buddy.

  • just some basics

Your server is at home ?

    Your dns is working ?

  • set your routers web interface to allow remote access then try your dns from a remote location !
i would log into my neighbours wireless and type [http://blacksx.dns.org:80] (or whatever port the router web interface is set to i have used 80 in the example ip-most virgin routers are preset to 8080) -
If you get the router login page you know your Dns is working !

  • Go back to your dns setup page & make sure the part in red below contains your external ip.

I have the updater working correctly mate as my URL takes me directly to my routers login page. U had a line from me working before mate, since then I think the only change I've made is installing Webmin. Do u think this could have changed

Well if i put my own dns in my browser it certainly doesnt do that, installing webmin will not have affected anything unless you have chosen a port for webmin that is also used as your server listen port.
