  • Could be one of a number of problems..
1.. Have you got the F:lines locked to their IP Address's? If so your m8's ISP might have renewed their IP Address's..
2.. Have you forwarded the port in your router to the new IP Address of your Box or has the box IP stayed the same?

Other than that, more info needed...

    Good luck m8

  • ive changed nothing in my router ive the port open the ip address off the box is allways the same i dont mess about with the ip once i have it set im able to connect dcc and get into the box with the ip address i use for my v+

  • Well m8, obviously something has changed... If you post some info (configs, logs etc..) maybe somebody can help, otherwise its just a guessing game...

Here is one more guess, lol..
Are you using dyndns or do you just give them clines with your external IP address in them? If it is the latter, check that your IP Address is the same as in the sent clines...

  • do you use dyndns updater for if your external ip address changes it can automatically update it for you, if you have been messing about with router and restarting it your isp may have given you a new ip, worth looking into to rule it out at least!

  • its nothing too do with that i dont messs about with my router and the ip address hasent changed as my other card wouldent work if the ip had changed but one thing i i have notiched is that the ip address on my v+ changes say i put to 192.168.0.4 and turn off dhcp in network when i reboot the box it seem to change the ip of the v+ box bck to say 192.168.0.9 which has never happened befor now thats why i baffled.when u turn dhcp and give your box a static ip it should stay like that for the life off me i cant understand why the v+ changes back to the ip address that the backup image had on it when it was made thanks for replying lads

If your Box is starting with different IP address, how Is the router supposed to forward requests to the old IP Address? You might find it easier to Set a static IP address from within the router.
Just go to LAN Setup and look for Pre-Asigned DHCP IP Address or something similar. Then Find the MAC Address of your VU+ and reserve the IP Address you have used all along (192.168.0.4) for that MAC Address within your router settings.
That way, every time the box is powered up the router will assign (192.168.0.4).
