  • Hi
    Soon i will get realy bananas, i have tried to configure my Linux pc-->Linux Klient 3.2.0-34-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Thu Nov 15 10:49:02 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
    and added 2 smargos frpm argolis.

    When i'm running dmesg | grep ttyS i get this result

    Code
    [    0.457488] serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
    [    0.593579] serial8250: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A
    [    0.651725] 00:0a: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
    [    0.734599] 00:0b: ttyS1 at I/O 0x2f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A

    when im running
    pc/sc scanner i'm getting this result
    Scanning present readers...
    Waiting for the first reader...

    It seams that i have no connection to my readers and i have been looking in the forum and found a lot of helpful things but still struggling with this issue
    When i'm running dmesg i'm getting this result

    I have aslo latency timer which i think is beacuse there is no or readers are not found.

    When i'm running -->opensc-tool --reader 0 --atr i recieve the following
    No smart card readers found

    root@Klient:~# setserial -G /dev/ttyUSB0
    /dev/ttyUSB0 uart unknown port 0x0000 irq 0 baud_base 24000000 spd_normal low_latency

    //Please could any one help me to configure my linux so the readers are connecting to the USB

    I have no idea which card is in each smargo, so i suggest you remove one smargo and run the lsusb command so you get the correct output for each smargo/card, then edit the [reader] device = accordingly..

    Add your boxid = to [reader] for VIASAT..

    Try these configs buddy, if you have further problems show us your oscam log so we can see where the issues are..

  • I made this corrections as suggested but im still struggling with the reader connection and can not get out any info from the log since the readers are not "connected" if i start the oscam with the commando -->/usr/sbin/oscam -b i can find this info on the screen:
    ^@^@/usr/src/oscam/oscam-svn/oscam-config-reader.c^@^@ERROR: '%s' is unsupported reader protocol!
    ^@^@^@Configuration newcamd: Error in Key
    ^@^@^@^@Determined local mac address for mg-encrypted as %s^@Configuration reader: corrected label to %s
    ^@^@^@^@Configuration reader: Error in rsakey

    Which version of oscam are you using and does it come with smargo pcsc support ? If it doesn`t have pcsc support then upgrade oscam..

    I would check that the Smargo is set up properly, http://linuxsat-support.com/li…l-smargo-smartreader.html..

    can not get out any info from the log

    Connect to the oscam webinterface and copy any errors you see..

  • I am running the latest oscam-->oscam-1.20-unstable_svn7944-x86_64-linux-gnu-ssl-libusb-pcsc
    If i am running this commando-->proc/tty/driver/serial i am recieving-->
    serinfo:1.0 driver revision:
    0: uart:16550A port:000003F8 irq:4 tx:0 rx:0
    1: uart:16550A port:000002F8 irq:3 tx:0 rx:0
    And if im running this commando-->opensc-tool --list-readers
    No smart card readers found.
    And if im running this comando-->setserial -G /dev/ttyUSB0
    /dev/ttyUSB0 uart unknown port 0x0000 irq 0 baud_base 24000000 spd_normal low_latency

    Very confused, probably my brain or the Pc are f*cked up
    More info i installed the oscam on my win pc and there is now problem with the reader, they are connected to the USB ports in a proper way and are identified in the oscam etc. but the only problem with that one is i cant use the computer since i'am using that one for my profession but at least i know that the readers are not f*cked up

  • I have connected to the webif through my dreambox which information is needed?
    Reader?
    Status from first screen?

    I am giving up...cant use the webif, cant get in contact with my readers and are trying everything i can find in the forum and also with all other help i'm getting from the members.
