Does low signal strength cause freezing?

  • Hi,

I'm using CCCam on my (original) VU+ but have noticed glitching and occasional freezing on channels where I'm getting signal strength of around 50-60% SNR. These are mainly HD channels. I don't get freezing on channels on the same package where my signal strength is higher (between 70-99%). Is it coincidental or can a low signal strength cause problems for the CCCam client? I do notice that ECM times bounce high and low when the freezing happens but I don't know if this is caused by the low SNR or the client/server connection. Any advice please?

  • if you get freezing on FTA channels you can be sure its signal related issue -
