Oscam web doesn't fire up

  • Hi all,

I've been struggling like a b****rd the last few days trying to get into this cardsharing
using an Ubuntu server. To put it plainly, I've never even looked at this before. But now
I think I'm getting the hang of it.

My setup is Ubuntu 12.10. I've installed CCcam and Oscam using a script I found on this
gold mine of a forum. Now, when I log in to the CCcam webinfo I can see a card after
putting a L-line in the CCcam.cfg, it tells me that it's caid "b00" and provider "1f1f1f".
It's doesn't say much more than that, which I think is due to the fact that it's missing
in all cccam.providers I've found so far.

SO what to do? Well, I tried logging in to the Oscam web info. But no, nothing, I can't
access it from my computer, from the server itself, or from anywhere else for that matter.

If I look for the oscam process it's running nicely, also, if I don't run oscam, the CCcam
web info won't find the card.

So, my question, how do I set this up so that oscam actually fire up the web info???

Here's my oscam.conf if that helps:

    Any help is greatly appreciated..

  • How are you trying to log into webif ?

you should be goto 192.168.0.196:8554 in your favorite web browser. ( I find firefox or chrome best)

    Hope this helps

If not more info on how you trying to log will help

  • are you trying to access oscam webif remotely or from the same PC you have oscam installed?

If it is from the same PC then the httpallowed flag in oscam.conf should have localhost address added (127.0.0.1)

    so
    httpallowed = 192.168.0.1-192.168.255.255
    should becme
    httpallowed = 192.168.0.1-192.168.255.255,127.0.0.1

If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • Hi, I've tried logging in both using the same machine (when I had the loopback address in the allowed string) and
from my own comp in the same LAN. To no avail. The only thing I get is the normal "Webpage cannot be displayed"
as if there was no server in the other end listening.

  • just highlighted a couple of things in red

I have never used serverip flag - any reason why you are using it?
the cs357x configs - is it needed as part of your setup?

also in the CCcam config - I would delete the forward_origin_card = 1 completely - again unless there is a reason you have this - i found it slows everything down.

Not sure if it will solve your issue but worth having a tweak

  • First of all, thanks for taking your time with me. I really appreciate it. :)

Secondly, I changed the oscam.conf according to the red marking above, still to no avail I'm afraid.
I copied the log from /tmp/oscam.log, I don't know if this will give any more clues as to why it doesn't work.
It seems to me atleast that it's starting the http service.

  • I just noticed something interesting. After looking at the log file I
tried running ps ax|grep oscam as root, and low and behold. NO Oscam processes are running.
I don't get it. It seems to be firing up and then just dying as soon as it has started for some reason. :(

  • Here's my oscam.server

  • The issue was in the device declaration. Note to self and newbies like myself, Bus:Address, not device ID. :)

Thanks for the help though musogeek. :)
