just rebooted my box and it boots but the vix logo just keeps appearing then spinning then going off , just says VU Duo on the display! Any quick fix or just a re-flash?
Think i may do a re-flash and update to latest one if no quick fix!

It could be any number of causes, we would need debug logs and a list of all included plugins, plus what build the box was on etc etc etc.
rite now as it stands with so little information there is effectively no way we could provide help other than suggest a reflash then enable debug logs ( make sure there saved to a USB stick as saving them to a HDD will prevent the HDD from going to sleep and it will continuously spin as the logs are written all the time. ).
Have you installed anything inbetween your last reboots that may be causing it?
If you can access the box via FTP then you should be able to see if there is a settings backup in the HDD folder,it could be that the image has updated itself with the allow unstable updates active.
If you look at the top navbar on the forum main page you will see a link for "openvix" you will get the latest image version form there.
Flash that on and then install your settings file from the vix menu.

no thats just not possible.
ViX does not have a auto update feature in either stable or unstable form, at most you will see the update icon to tell you there is a update but the user has to specify if they want to accept the update by going to the update image option, then they have to select yes when presented with the option whether to update or not.
only addition was iplayer! , iv done a reflash and back up and running already, no great shakes! , cheers guys for the quick responses though!
make sure to enable debug logs so that if the same thing happens you can at least send us the logs ( by us i mean the ViX team ), that way we may be able to identify what is going on.
