How to create the channel list for openbox x5 for North America.
Currently there is no NA satellite in the existing file.
I was able to add the Satellite and do the blind scan. But I need to edit the channel list so I can put the name and fav.
I am looking for 3 things
1. Download the channel list file from Openbox X5
2. Use software to edit it ( need the name of software)
3. Load the edited file to the box.
Any help is really appreciate.
hi there: I have been looking for last few day as well but for Eyebox X5 HD. and can't find anything. All so can't get the ccam work with my provider. for North America. I think that these are same box just not sure about the programming. Any help would be great. Hate think it's going be another paper weight. lol
http://***box.cc/down.asp?id=6 this should solve it for you stars block out s k y then use SetEditHD100 to edit your file ,,,,,,,,, dump and upgrade by usb to get it ........ you may need to make it .abs to load it and rename it to dbs before putting it back to the box

I thought the x5 used the sunplus 1512a processor and lacked a rs232 loader and channel editor
the x5 doesn't use a .abs file,the firmware which first appeared as a file to download via usb is a .bin file.
Channel list from x5 is bin (not abs).
I have triend Ali Editor, channel master but no luck.
Even I tried rename the file.
forget it then.
the receiver is too new to have support programs yet.
I figured that the editors and loaders were just for ali processors.
The x5 uses the sunplus 1512a instead so it's a whole new ballgame.
appears almost like nfusion stb
The x5 hd has rs232, euro connector or av component out and hdmi out and USB for input output and an Ethernet connection.
