Ping background script

    Hi guys , this forum has been a life saver setting up my Amiko Alien 2 box so thanks for that.


    I have a 3G modem which drops its HSPA connection if it doesnt have a constant packet flow this then causes glitching on the screen.


    If I run a ping from my laptop then everything is great.


    Is there a way that I could run a background ping.sh either 10 seconds or so after the box has booted up OR via a plugin that I can just start to begin the background ping?


    I usually run a


    ping bbc.co.uk &


    Any help would be hugely appreciated!!!


    P.S This is via Enigma2 , I dont use spark.

    Dont understand why you need to because your box should request ecms every 8 seconds or so , so is should stay alive anyway , broadband would be the answer , or a good 3g router that will accept a sim card and flash it with dd-wrt check the website im sure youll find a model in the database ,ps 3 is the only good 3g provider ive found if your are in range
