statement dreambox versus vu+ who is nº 1

just fiddle with my new vu+duo around and i am really happy with it, with the hard disc intern and 2 tuners with enigma2
of course this is a really nice machine.
all the satements from vu+

we are the leading stb linux on the market worldwide
we will work hard to fight against clons and cheap china replicas etc

now working with the vu duo box if you go into it with ftp or telnet you always use the pass root - dreambox!!

so what is this posing around with world leader inn***tive bla bla
vu is a simple clon and replica from dreamboxes with another case around.
using all enigma 2 which is i think dream multi media.
correct me if i am wrong.

the credit for inn***tion goes for me to dreambox and germany.
the chinese are goo copiers.
the korean as well.

if enigma 2 is a fruit of dream multi media, the you have to accept that the father of all this movement is dream.
we think this enigma 1 and 2 is normal and granted, but there have been some great ideas and work from somebody.
we have a great toy with enigma, thanks to dream
its just the vu guys are posing around we are the number 1, this is just not true.
england invented football, i will always be thankful and respect this.

If you look at it that way then actually the father of this movement was Kirch Medias dBox2 not the Dreambox. The Linux-based production software originally used by Dreambox was originally developed for DBox2, by the Tuxbox project :feel_good:

Dream Multimedia boxes are just over priced units that aren't any better than anybody elses. Good boxes but in my humble opinion I think they are completely over priced for what they are. I don't think the clones are much better either, not when you can now buy better boxes for the same or slightly more money.

Dream Multimedia have lost the monopoly on this now all purely because of their greed and their price fixing which is just helping the makers of the cones make even more money off their back, and yet despite all this they still refuse to lower their prices in order to be competitive.
