  • Put the card back in the Sly box, ring Sly and tell them you've been on a holiday to OZ for six weeks or something else like that and you've switched the box back on and it doesn't work. They will just send the signal to update the entitlements and it should come back on.

    That will at least get your card updated, but you will need to figure out why your card hasn't updated this month. Has it updated previously without issues?

    Some people say you can just get the box to ring through to update entitlements, but thats something i would not recommend myself as we have no idea what information is passed between the box and ***, nor do we know what date from the card is shared back to ***.

    Nano

  • restarted oscam - see log below

  • AU = 1 should enable auto update to all cards so should be sufficient, but also as master G said suk1 would work. I noticed that your server is a receiver (rather than PC), so you could use dvbapi - which works well if the card has missed important tier updates. - have a look here;
    http://linuxsat-support.com/os…s-dvbapi-oscam-alone.html

    If I am right from what your logs say you are using mgcamd on your server - so maybe take a look here as well

  • Cheers Guys

    I ended up putting card back in sly box and got them to update them.

    Mind you they only extended them till 17 april... so stil unsure if it will work...

    I have OScam and ccam running together..

    But the oscam web gui states the client conected (local) is using newcamd (mgcamd) protocol..

    is this due to my N:line in ccam.cfg

    N: 127.0.0.1 22001 linuxsat1 apassword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 1 1

    spud312r was using nline - I used dvbapi and oscam alone when I had a sly card in my receiver, but for other cards clines in the receiver was fine

    The reason most people can't get their cards to update is that they lack patience:beated:

  • Ok i have stopped the ccam/newcamd SUk1 reader and added another dvbapi reader/user

    so now i see

    dvbapi reader and all entitlements
    dvbapi client status OK

    I added to [oscam.dvbapi]
    P: 0963:000000 1

    but i have loads of these in there as well

    Does this look ok ???

  • you only need the '1' at the end of the dvbapi file entry unless you have a card that is inactive due to missed updates

    P: 0963:000000 1
    can be
    P: 0963:000000

    no need for the others for updating the card

    dont change the name of the entry for your card in oscam.server - not needed

    there may be issuse if you use CCcam and dvbapi together, as your receiver might not use CCcam at all - not sure - never used dvbapi and CCcam together but I am sure others can add to this!

    You have changed from label = suk1 to above highlighted

    dvbapi entry in oscam.conf and relevant account entry in oscam.user should share the same label - but this doesn't have to be the label of the entry for your local card in oscam.server

    hmm now i dont see any entitlements in the reader after restart - ah figured that out as i needed to start the suk1 reader !!! doh !!

    I also never see any ecm stats using oscam.info plugin either..

    I have stopped ccam on the duo+ - is this correct ?

  • hmm i may have messed up..

    I cant see the entilement channels on the duo+ sly1 for instance.. just the fta channels

    I'm just using the dvbapi reader and user , the reader sees the entilments via the oscam web gui

    Where have i gone wrong..

    The only cam i have running on the Duo+ is OScam now...

  • in oscam.user

    Code
    [account]
    user = dvbapi
    pwd =
    group = 1
    monlevel = 0
    au = 1

    add this to in oscam.conf

    Code
    [dvbapi]
    enabled = 1
    au = 1
    boxtype = dreambox
    user = dvbapi

    in oscam.server

    There is no point using oscam.services in the entry for the card, as it only seems to work on virtual card or accounts in oscam.user - the ecmwhitelist is a bit of a mess - I don't bother using it at all, and you shouldn't need to have oscam.services on the oscam.user account for dvbapi either

    try what i have put above - nothing added or taken away for each entry - if you want Oscam to update entitlements

    You need to be patient and leave on a channel every night one that the card decrypts - sly 1 for example.

    as I said if you are not waking up a dead card then just have

    Code
    P: 0963:000000

    in oscam.dvbapi

    If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

    :red:

  • Many thanks

    Yep that seemed to worked fine...

    This duo has a ccam c:line to my other reciever that has more entitlments, so the aim is to use the local card on the duo , and then an internal link (c:line) to use the other reciever for the additional entilements.

    If i use ccam and put the N:Line to oscam (ccam has the c:line in it), this works fine.. but i was intending not to use ccam but dvbapi so that i get local card entilments updates.

    If i stop ccam, then as i dont have a c:line to the other reciever i dont get the entitlements,
    where in oscam to i put the c:line to connect to my other receiver ??

    If this works, then i can remove the ccam plugin...

  • If you still have newcamd protocol set up in Oscam, and the entry in oscam.user that was set up to send your card to CCcam on the same receiver, then as you intend not to use CCcam alongside oscam on that receiver (as you are using dvbapi instead) then you can just create an nline on the other receiver in CCcam.cfg - This nline would be the same as the one you was using to connect Oscam to CCcam on the same receiver, but instead of the IP address being 127.0.0.1 - you would need to enter the IP address of the receiver running Oscam.

    Alternatively you would have to enable CCcam protocol in Oscam and create the an account in oscam.user as per below;

    in oscam.conf

    Code
    [cccam]
    port                          = 12000
    version                       = 2.2.1
    reshare                       = 1

    in oscam.user

    Code
    [account]
    user                          = local
    pwd                           = pass
    au                             = 1
    group                         = 1

    in CCcam.cfg (on other receiver)

    Code
    C: 192.168.x.x 12000 local pass

    replace x's with the rest of the Oscam receiver's IP address

    If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • I forgot to update my card until the day before it expired duh! I had to call sly and get them to pair the card with a diff box saying the original had broken. There's only so many times I'll get away with that!!!
