[fade]For Beginners - How To Add Lines To Linux Server Using CS Studio[/fade]
Adding lines to your pc server requires a slighty different method to how you would update your CCcam.cfg in a dreambox. This is based on debian but Ubuntu differences are in red.

There are many tools to do this but the way i do it is using puttyssh & WinSCP,
If you use CS Studio for CCcam info you already have everything you need.

    To Upate your CCcam.cfg
To update your lines you need to send a copy ( keep one handy on your pc ) of your updated cfg.file to the home/cccam folder in your server, it will then automatically update at the time set in the update script or you can issue a command to make it update immediatley.

This is how to do it using the tools provided in CS Studio.

    1. Open WinSCP and using the left hand window navigate to the stored cfg file on your pc and edit the file adding your new lines, when done save.

    2. Using the right hand window navigate to the home/cccam folder in your server then drag the edited cfg file from the left to right ( pc to server )

Note : If using Ubuntu the path should be var/config

You will be asked to confirm the transfer, click the copy button.

    Thats it you are done!
Your cgf will update and add the new lines at the time set in your auto update script,
However you may wish to add them immediatley.
This is done but logging into your server using putty and issuing the following command.

    Code
    /emu/script/./configupdate.sh

Ubuntu useres use this command once logged in as root

    Code
    /var/script/configupdate.sh

This will then back up your old cfg file and insert the new one.

Thats all there is to it, Do not try and put a config file straight in to the Var/etc folder, it won’t work.

If you have installed a graphical interface on your server then you will not need putty & winscp but the process is exactly the same.Have Fun!
