Where we should add this type of comands

Please let me know where to use these type of commands

Also let me know the command to give write permission to HDD in vu solo

Last can you let me know the command for this situation

Iam unable to transfer new file or delete the existing files with the DCC to the HDD .HDD is EXT3 partition .I can record successfully

Tried giving all kinds of permission to the folder 725, 777 ... by right click the folder in DCC.But no successful results.

PLEASE ADVICE
