  • Can someone please guide me in the right direction to be able to use my original Viasat 4,9E card in my vu+?

    I am Using vu+ uno with image bh179
    Manually installed oscam Oscam6368+CCcam213 for blackhole image

    Set card in upper cardreader sci1

    Config info:

    Boxid is created from 11 digit nr on viasat org tuner. removed last digit, converted to HEX, added a 0 and pasted to boxid-line.

    I have spent quite a long time to get this right reading a lot of guidelines on this forum, but still no luck.

    Set card in upper cardreader sci1

    sci1 is the lower slot, set as sci0 for the upper slot, e.g;

    *oscam.server*
    [reader]
    device = /dev/sci0

    You need to convert the boxkey for Viasat, have you done this and added to oscam.server ? e.g

    [reader]
    boxid = 12345678

    Make these changes then show us the oscam log if you are still having problems buddy..

  • Oh ok, changed the device nr to 0 and put the card back in, in upper slot.

    Not shure if get the convertion of boxkey right. Here is what i did.
    From under the box i got the 11 digit number. i removed the last digit and converted this number to HEX. This returned a 7-digit number in which i added a 0-digit in front to achieve a 8-digit number.
    boxid = 0DXXXXXX
    Was this correct?

    Still not working thoug, so here is the log:

  • Cheers, ill see if i can get the boxkey correct.

    m getting confued with what is reader and what is server, but it makes no different to me if oscam can be both.

    I tried to make a file called oscam.log and put it in the log folder. But when i rebooted the tuner, this file was missing?
    So im not quite shure what logfile i can attach?
    can i c/p the info from the webinterface? Here it is:

    8c4bff8ff51847c47da10bd3.png

  • Mate, the DBCreator program got me even more confused.
    To generate the boxid i had to add two serialnrs.
    1 with (9-11) chars
    1 with (17) chars

    Problem is my serialnr is 16 chars and cardnumber is 12 chars (beginning on 0160......)

    Generate the serial number from underneath the receiver not the card number..

    Add this to oscam.conf then restart oscam, look in /var/log/oscam.log;

    Code
    [global]
    logfile = /var/log/oscam.log

    Ive just done what you asked med to to, but the logfile isnt updated? Isnt it the var/log/oscam.log file?

    This is the lase line ithe this file:

    switch log file

  • Here is a refresh from webinterface log. swapped through different channels, and even some C+ who works via newcs.
    Dosent look like something is happening at all, does it?
