  • greetings to all how do you use a hard disk extern with this decoder. I tried in every way but did not succeed. how to format it and use it thanks i use HDMU image

  • what i do to get them working is somewhat long winded but bare with me

first off i use ubuntu linux
    attach external hdd
    fire up gparted
    format the hdd to ext3
once thats done mount the drive
then use "sudo nautilus" in terminal
right click the drive and change the permissions so everyone can read/write create/delete
then create a folder called "movie"
once plugged into amiko navigate to record paths
press ok on "default movie location"
after press menu and the switch to filelist
navigate to the /autofs folder and look for your hdd and movie folder you created earlier (mine is located at /autofs/sda1/movie)
once there press blue to add bookmark
set timeshift location to the same folder
once thats done your pretty much good to go.
download crossepg and set it to you your hdd.

if i get time i'll write a proper tutorial with pictures to help out further but i hope this post helps you out a little.
