Samba plugin

Depends on which image, for example in ViX you just go into the network sub section and click on samba, your then asked if you want to install it, the same is true of many other network based plugins which were removed from the base image to save space.

nahh dont worry about it, hell i'm a senior member of the team who make this image and even i dont know / cant remember what every option or menu does. plus this is exactly what these forums are here for, so if you have questions just ask.

I tried installing samba through the network section, but it just freezes the box, and says feeds are down. then have to restart. I'm using an old vix image on a vu solo so I get 1080i
i can use an ftp client, but like to just transfer through the network on the pc, so if anyone can help, let me know. thanks
