package upgrade ! does card need 2 b in original STB ???

i was thinking of upgrading to a full hd package however i wondered if my card needs to be in the original box to do so ???? or will it get the upgrade signal in the pc with smargo as reader

They will supply you with a new digibox& twin lnb so will be an engineers visit i would imagine.
To answer your quistion providing you are receiving emm ok at the moment yes it will update without any problems.
