Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS does not recognize the smart card

i am setting up a Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS CCcam server but the server does not recognize the smart card. i have install de Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS on ESXI 5.1.0 and i have installed the vmware tools
can samebody help to recognize my smart card reader

i have USB Smargo Smartcard Reader and i have a *** germany card and Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS does recognize it. i had to configure it in ESXI 5.0
