Instead of scanning each satellite, why not try L53 Openbox S9 Multi-Satellite Channel List v3.80 [10 March 2011].
they don`t have a very strong tuner, but its more the transponder list, what is not perfect.
i had to put in some transponders manualy, made things better, but if you can get sorted lists, well go for it.
its allways a lot of work

Is this channel list uniquely prepared for users for channels north of the equator ?
Or it contains channels with transponders POINTING southwards towards South Africa/Madagascar ?

With this L53 Openbox S9 Multi-Satellite Channel List v3.80 [10 March 2011], have all the faulty channels been deleted ?
Also when u jump to a diff satellite will the channel be filtered in categories i.e. sport, movies

If your in Ireland or England you should have no trouble tuning in SKY Sports with these transponders....

It could be your dish too, might be out of line, dont rush into anything yet m8!
It use to be 4, but im sure if u have the latest firmwarwe its 9/8 active c lines
