Installing CCcamInfoPHP on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Snow Leopard has been released in late August 2009.

This Mac operating system has a built-in web server , which you can use to run CCcamInfoPHP.

PHP (version 5.3) is also built in Mac OS X Snow Leopard. However, PHP is turned off by default in Snow Leopard . You need to turn it on.

    This How-To explains how.

    1. Open Terminal (Terminal is an application found in the "Utilities" folder of the "Application" folder).

    2. type: sudo vi /etc/apache2/httpd.conf
Terminal will open the config file of Apache2 using vi

    3. Go down in that config file. Find the line which loads the PHP 5 module, which looks like this:

    #LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so

The line is currently commented out. All we have to do is remove the comment symbol, #

To do that, place the cursor right after the # and type "X" (big X not small x).

Now the line looks like that:

    LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so

    4. Save the file in vi by typing: :w (plus hit return key)
which saves the current file without quitting

    5. Quit vi by typing: :q (plus hit return key)

    6. Go to "System Preferences", then choose "Sharing" and start web sharing. It will give the web address of the personal web site on the Mac.

    7. Go to your Home. Home is where the little house icon is when you open a folder (on the left side). Home folder will be named after your login name. Click on home; in that folder you will find other folders: Documents, Music, Pictures ... and Sites. Open Sites; there create the cccam folder. Put all files from CCcamInfoPHP. You need to config the CCcamInfoPHP files according to how-to's in forums.

    8. Change the rights of the folder "cccam": Select the folder "cccam" and choose in menu "File" "Get Info" (command-I).
In the "Sharing & Permissions" section, make sure "everyone" is "read & write"; and also "apply to enclosed items" in the sub-menu (next to the + and - signs under "everyone")

    9. Go to web browser and enter address you got in web sharing (in System Preference).
and then choose the right php file

    That's it.

    Enjoy.
