    Hi all,


    Very new to the scene and probably tried to run before I could walk. Thing is I had my system up and running nicely last night on a test line I had. So I spent the day with a nice big grin on my face and but came home and nothing works. So my question is has anyone any idea what has gone wrong. I suspect it may be an issue with my ip however im not sure. I have since done some more nosing about and am unsure as to whether i require a dynamic dns to use a line which I have been asked not too reshare. Hope this is making sense. I can see my ip address has changed since last night on my receiver and I can still log on from my pc using the new ip, but has this caused issues with the cline?


    Hope this isnt jibberish and any and all help is greatly appreciated

    Im using a Technomate T-2T OE receiver and im using the OpenPLi image. Also using CCcam221 is that helps?

    Ok are your free to air channels still working??


    I would imagine if this was a "test" line that it was only valid for 24hrs, where did you get it from? a friend I hope as we don't offer support to payserver supports here.


    You only need a dyndns addy if you plan to share your local card with peers, you don't need it to put a cline in your box and view encrypted channels.

    Hi mckee, yes free to air all still working. your right, test line expired it was a 24 hr test one I found on the internet I used to test the system last night, bad choice perhaps but was hoping to have my system running and just to add the cline. Apologies I wasn't aware of the rule regarding payservers i genuinely thought it would be preferred rather than trying to annoy others for theirs. I have a work mate who says he can share his no prob if im stuck I can get his details tomorrow.

    Payservers are only helping to end this great hobby buddy, they are pure scum who only want your money! There are a few threads on the go at the minute in the forum regards sly new pairing & card updates system.So a payserver would quite happily take your money then leave you looking at a black screen,just like you are tonight.


    Stay well clear of them, take your friend up on his offer to get you going.

    Appreciate the advice pal cheer. Cant argue with that. And dont worry I've had a nice long read of the rules ;) Really only getting started at the whole business and appreciate what your saying. To be honest I'm more interested in the other aspects of this great liitle box and would't be all too worried if sly cut the lot off, was more annoyed i was doin it wrong
