hi ill im makeing my own server do i need dvb pci sat tuners in my server or not please ?

Not unless you want to watch tv on it. The pc server will serve your dreambox giving you the freedom of unlimited peers and the luxury of experimenting with your recievier without worrying about being offline to your peers. You have made the right choice imo Brian. -

best have your server box on standby 24/7 and use another box yourself to view tv.

No tuner needed! Just a fast internet connection and some nice people ;) to share with! Try to stay away from wireless connections from STB to server mate! More problems than anything else! Home plugs the way to go!
