hi guys
is there a tutorial anywhere that show me how to use my xtrend as a server for my other box?
thinking off the future when things start getting turned off

What is the other box, do you mean like so you can play stuff stored on the hdd of your xtrend on the other box?

There are a few possibilities here but your question is very vague.

1. you can stream whole tv channels from one receiver to the other using plugins such as remote channel stream convert

2. you can use network mounts and mount the each receivers HDD to the other allowing each receiver full access to the other, this way you can stream any recording made on any receiver to any other on your network. you can do this with as many receivers as you have. I have 7 receivers setup like this and a central NAS hooked up to them all too.

sorry about vague question.
yes i want to stream recordings from my hard drive to another box thats a spiderbox in a different room.
