Hi, im all so new to this, can you provide a tutorial step by step guide please, i want to run openbox as server to openbox client, do i need to fortforward to router as stated above as it is only going to be in the home. thanks

Hi, thanks for responding, i have done a lot of research through google, its all confusing to me and just needing a push in the right direction, i have a card wanting to use in another room im not interested in sharing outside the home, are the links you provided useful for my situation. thanks

No you shouldn't have to port forward mate...
You'll be using your ip address like...
So no need for a dns account either as far as I know...

You dont need to open any ports if you want to share within your own network.

Ok Thanks i will call back if it does not work out right for me. one more point please, openbox server/client connected straight to the router, would this be fine as ive read something about being connected to the pc. Thanks
