Having trouble streaming....TWIN-oe

Hello all. This is my problem. I have a nice new TM TWIN-oe which works fine. I can stream to my iPhone easy enough using VU+ but no matter what I try I cannot get my box to stream to a laptop or PC. Laptop is running Vista, I have tried with both the latest VLC (2.0.5) and an older version (0.9.7) on my laptop but to no avail. I am wondering is there a plugin I can install on the receiver to stream to a laptop? I tried the VLC plugin but despite following the exact instructions it still does not work. Oddly enough, I can stream recorded programs using Open Webif. Probably doing something very stupid and wrong, but I could do with a little help here.........
