Transfer films from vu duo to vu solo 2

ftp into the Duo/hdd select the files you want,, and transfer to PC,,then connect to solo2 and transfer back to that......or if you have both networked to each other,, just transfer them from one box to the other,,, cheers satcat

With ftp the fastest transfer I get with a Gigabit LAN and Gigabit cables is about 7 MBps.. For a small library that is OK but If you have a huge library of 300-500GB for example, the Transfer would take roughly 12-20 hours.. If you had a USB to SATA cable, you could remove the HDD from the Duo & mount it to the Solo2 and move the files at 4-5 times that speed..

Is your DUO HDD 3.5" or 2.5"?

If it was a 2.5" Laptop drive, I would consider just swapping HDD's and moving files around internally..
