No CCcam Installed what am I doing wrong

Hi Guys I got a Problem to with my new Max receiver ,I flashed the box useing the latest Image from here and Iwant to put a CCcam in it goes in useing DCC but when I go to the max receiver click blue button on there to Install it ,it Installs O.K. but this ERROR message keeps comeing up its a big black square on the screen saying error and a lot more writing on it ,so I reflashed the receiver again and its back to normal whithout the CCcam Installed what am I doing wrong hope you can help cheers

The easiest thing to use for all your needs here is the vu+toolbox 2.0 for ftp channel lists adding clines etc

Hi sorry not sure what you mean can I Install this Vu+toolbox on my Max box and will it solve my problem I really need your help please because I dont have a clue what to do I have tried a few CCcam Installing them with no luck cheers take care

Hi do I put thevfile on the DCC and then FTP then click on fole then arrow across is that what I do cheers

yep you may need to put the file in /var/volatile/tmp - I use different ftp client but /tmp doesn't work for me.

Open DCC > Click FTP on the left panel > Double click tmp -> /var/tmp folder in the middle panel > Click the file you want to send on the right panel then press the arrow pointing to the left..

To Install Press Blue Button > ViX > Install Local Extensions..

Thanks for that really helpfull ,but I got anothe problem I want to reflash the Max receiver first to the latest Image ,I put the Image onto a USB stick turned the receiver off from the back put the USB stick in and turned the box back on there should be two red lights on the front then press channel up and the light should go purple but it dont ,when I turn the box on from the back thr light on the front goes strait yo purple and the channels come on the TV it dont seem to reconise the USB stick and it fats 32 I dont know why please help cheers take care

try another usb stick sometimes they can be funny and make sure you have unzipped the files and your folder structure is right on the stick your first folder should be xp1000 if yo are realy having troubles there are backup images already setup hope this helps you :linuxsat5:

Thanks thats very helpfull but I have tried another USB it does the same thing ,how do I get the backup manager to work would that really help me thanks take care

Hi its my fault I tried to put in a CCcam but it didnt work so I reflashed the box to the latest image and it worked fine so i tried to put the CCcam in again and that didnt work so I tried a reflash and got this problem would a factory reset do the job for me I really need advice what to do i hope i havnt broken it thanks take care

ok to make this easy this is a link for vix sofcam cccam 2.13.ipk put this on the usb when you plug it into the box vix will prompt you to install it , it will install cccam then you need to go to softcam managed make sure it has a tick and that it is active then you are all ready to go apart from putting in your cline information you have been shown already

you dont need to reflash everytime just to upgrade, press menu/setup/software update

Hi guys you are really helpfull but it still wont work ,I switched the box off from the back put the USB in switched it back on and there should be two red lights when you get the two red lights press the ch + button and it should go to purple but the two red lights dont come on it goes strait to the purple light thanks what have I done cheers guys

There are two reasons why the flash procedure will not start, (1) You are not following the guide to the letter, (2) The USB stick is not compatible with the receiver..

Do what stevjo suggested and try flashing with a different USB stick..

No CCcam Installed what am I doing wrong
