Recommend a different Image for xtrend 9x00

HI everybody
I have a xtrend 9x00 running openpli .
i have two questions 1: any body recommend a different images to try. no issues with openpli just want to see what else is available
2: when i flash an image do you need to rescan all sats again and redo all the stb setup ie long etc
