cccam ubuntu server problem, help

hi,

I have a pc running ubuntu server with cccam.
I notice that some peers connect and dissconect.
I've checked the log file and find many of these messages:

What does this mean?

Its a known error with CCcam, you can stop it filling up your logs by editing /etc/syslog.conf like this.

### add lines to filter "unwanted text in syslog" ~
## value ~ at the end of the lane discard message from syslog
:msg, contains, "rcv_next" ~
:msg, contains, "ofo packet" ~
:msg, contains, "Ack" ~




auth,authpriv.* /var/log/auth.log
*.*;auth,authpriv,cron,.none -/var/log/messages

Display More

Then reload new config to syslog:

/etc/init.d/sysklogd reload

It's reported this does't happen with earlier versions though so you could always try downgrading to an older version (<2.0.9).

i cannot find /etc/syslog.conf on my server.
Do you mean /etc/rsyslog.conf?
Probably the editing is different correct?

Sorry yes rsyslog replaced syslog the edit is the same though, just copy & paste in the above text to the top of the file then save and restart rsyslog with this.

Just used the same to remove an annoying key message from my debian logs, info found here if you want to look it up.

ok i will do this. Looks like this filters out the error messages.
But the problem that causes these error messages remains, correct?

You could try using an older version of CCcam or use oscam only.

You will find the CCcam binary file in /usr/local/bin
This is version 2.0.11 which is said to be the most stable on this setup, extract & rename the file named CCcam.x86 to exactly what the current one you have in /usr/local/bin is.
Overwrite with this file, make sure it is executable (chmod 755) then reboot your server & you will be running with the older version.

Bear in mind that you may have some peers who are not happy sharing with such an old version so maybe a good idea to explain the situation to them.

i notice that the active clients is smaller that when i use my dm500hd as server,

after update to cccam 2.0.11 the server is more stable now.
But i still have some messages in my logs....

auth.log:
almost every 5 min the following message;
