TS Panel Recovered, Now What Do I Do?

After fiddling around too much in the menu of my Vu+ Duo, I lost the TS Panel. I downloaded a TS Panel from here to suit Blackhole 1.7.3. I succeeded in that. I know I need to install a CCam, but I don't know which one to install. Also I need to know the exact steps for doing this setup as I am new to this kind of thing, so I need it explained please in layman's terms.

Doesn`t matter which version of CCcam you choose if you are only a client, if you have your own card then tell us and we can recommend which version..

No joy there.
I got a PC expert to get it going again, but the HDD is now playing up. It records alright but the recordings do not go into the folder. I press help, play recorded movies but there is nothing in there. The HDD won't initalize or format either. My CCam is Blackhole 2.3.0.
Any fixes?
