Havent done it but im sure you need to go to menu setup network and have samba running to access windows , just a flash guess here
You can do this so long as you are allowing this to be shared in windows. First of all, go to your network settings and install samba, then you need to go to network browser, browse the network, and you should see the windows share.
I haven't got my receiver that has ViX installed to direct you more with regards to the exact location of the settings you need to access, but it is simple enough to find them in the menus.
