Hi everyone am kind of a newbie but I am currently having issues with my Vu+ Duo not accepting latest version of images and is starting to do my head in. I currently have BlackHole 1.6.7 install but would accept anything higher.

Before you can flash later images you need to update the bootloader first buddy.

The reason your box wont accept newer images is because its a clone as there has never been a V2 original duo.
