  • Hi Guys,

I have installed ViX 2.1, managed to swing the satellite round and scan a few satellites however I'm bloody stumped when it comes to connecting to a network. Wanted to go wireless and so I have bought some Asus homeplugs from our sponsor and plugged them in where they should be plugged but am stuck as how to proceed further. I was going to run the installation disc with the homeplugs but I use a Mac so no go there.

    Any help greatly appreciated guys.

Menu, setup, system, network, network wizard.
Run the network wizard with the home plugs connected.
No need to run the installation disk as the homeplugs will be automatically recognised by the router.
Setup portforwarding and a static ip address within the router, or set static ip address by going into adapter settings and changing "Use DHCP" to NO.

  • I had run the network wizard before but no luck but hey presto it all fell into place for some reason and I'm up and running. Luckily got Friday off so plenty of play time for me.

    Many thanks G.
