Why do i need dyndns

    You dont actually need it m8, but it will make life a lot easier..
    Most IP address assigned by ISP's are dynamic and change frequently, this can mean less security risks for the customer but for card sharing it is a nightmare because your peers/clients will not be able to keep up with your IP changes..
    Dyndns gets around this by assigning an address to your IP & performing update checks at specified intervals so your dyndns will always have the correct IP address..

    I know with dyn.com, you need to sign up with credit card for trial but u can cancel within the month & keep 1 free dns.. Not sure about no IP or freedns

  • freedns only requires an email...i have 2 from them and infact i forgot about 1 of the accounts and a chap named josh emailed me to inform me that blah blah the account would be disabled if i did not login to the website...both have been running fine for over a year now without the mandatory login!:)
