I have just recieved an interesting memo from a satellite company i deal with and it seems their is rumors circulating that sly are planning new firmware for official stbs next month which will disable the rf2 output voltage thus rendering tv links defunct unless you use a dc powered option..
Details seem a bit sketchy just now as nobody seems to know for definate if this will happen or if its some sort of power saving function that wont stop the voltage completely but it will be interesting to watch that space.
I think their complaint call center would be flooded if they actually rolled that out thats for dalm sure.
