hdmi not working

    I have just purchased a second hand openbox 12 which stated that the hdmi was not working, i have loaded a new firmware hoping that that would fix the issue but still nothing, i have also tried changing the video out to yuv and still nothing, any idead or could this be a hardware issue?

    Yes, i think it's a hardware problem.


    Quite a common fault on Openboxes.


    They are cheaply made boxes so that's what happens sometimes.


    I gather the scart or AV options are still working ok ?

    There is also a possibility of a software issue with these boxes when it comes to the hdmi output signal..for instance i have noticed after a reboot on these crap boxes the picture will not display although the tv does recognise the hdmi connection/ after switching the tv on and off the picture is displayed again tho.


    Maybe too simple a fix but just thought i would mention it.
