The IBC showcased numerous UltraHD transmissions and technology by all the major operators. Some of it was stunning as was some of the unique panoramic screens displaying it.
There was also 3D (without glasses) panels on display. Sony had a UltraHD 30" OLED panel on display which was a beauty to behold.
All the major operators were endorsing UltraHD from capture, through to broadcast and reception technology and many are well advanced in test transmissions.
In short UltraHD is pretty much on it's way.
