Logging of ECM Requests ?

  • Is it possible to log ECM Requests on my server ? I want to be able to see what Proxies are giving Timeouts, particularly when I turn on LoadBalancing.

If I could record a logfile with the following:-

Date & Time; Client; CAID & SRVID; ECM ms; Proxy

Even better would be if I could simply monitor all activity for even one single Client for a particular CAID & SRVID

  • if I might be allowed to jump in on this thread.

I am also just in the process of setting up the loadbalancing log also.

but I don't have a /usr/local directory, so I tried setting it up in /var/local/ and created a stat folder, but for some strange reason on both DCC and the webif it keeps defaulting back to /usr/local/stat.

so what I have done now is create local + stat directories, is this advisable.

  • Is it safe to say that all requests are responded to one way or another ?

With LB turned OFF, do requests go to ALL Proxies with the required card entitlement ? If so, why don't I see some form of replies back from all Proxies where requests could have been sent ?
