please hellp connect XP1000 with network cable

    hi, I've been trying to connect my XP1000 with network cable, managed to connect, but my computer is soon to follow with problems connecting to the net, somebody knows if it is necessary to open ports in the router to connect smoothly the XP1000 and computer the net?
    or will it be necessary to do some configuration on the router to function well?
    connecting the XP1000 by wireless works well, and I can connect to pc net that works without problems, the problem is only when you connect via network cable.
    the net pc is always off

    thanks for the reply already solved the problem, my router was faulty, bought a new one and turned quickly, now is connected via network cable and works well
