    I would like to purchase this box but can someone confirm I can att 500bg usb hdd at rear and use for epg and movies ?
    Does it also have timeshift ?

    Yes is the answer to your questions. This is an E2 Mips receiver that is supported by certain OE-Alliance images, therefore it will be able to support a USB HDD (although there is no 100 percent guarantee that a particular HDD will work, although most should) - and would support timeshift as this function is either built in to the image or installable as a plugin.
