  • Hello:

    I have:
    * VU+ Duo (192.168.0.10)
    * Black hole image 2.0.7
    * mgcamd
    * Cisco small business router, gateway 192.168.0.1

    I have updated;
    * newcamd.list
    * mg_cfg: changed decoder type to 06 (dreambox)
    and uploaded the files using filezilla.

    I think I hqve q router / firewall issue.
    Can you please explain how mgcamd works?
    I know that outgoing traffic is sent to a remote server where it gets the code, now these packages need to end up at my vu+ and can't be stopped at the router. what are the ports I have to forward to?
    Any info is welcome.

    Stijn

    Hi apolloblueplanet, an intro post is required before you use the forum buddy, here --> Introductions.

    A port doesn`t need to be opened when you are only a client to someones server.. Ports only need opened to allow connections to a server..

    Show us how you have the newcamd.list & mg_cfg configured..

    Have you tried any other softcam like CCcam or oscam ?

  • Hi Master G,

    I just posted an introduction on the forum!

    Thanks for your reply, I am feeling more and more stupid :).

    I accept, off course, your info that ports don't need to be forwarded, but please clarify how the code knows his way back to my decoder once it is at the router?
    Now for your offer to help, my files are in attachement. I how you can put me on track!
