Using numbers for pause and rewind

Hi can anybody tell me if you can use 14 and 7 for pause and rewind on a dream box dm 800 remote as there is duel functions on the remote. When I press rewind it goes into record mode. I have heard that you can down load some thing to utilize the numbers. Thanks in advance
