Missing codec maybe
anyway of sorting , do i need another type of media player or can i get codec ?
What type of file does not play?
I use the same image & have no probs playing anything.
Its a bluray 720 x264 MP4 file Ten
While playing tried audio button in case there was option on audio but nothing
was thinking that it was codec but tried another file and it made my openpli 4.0 vu duo restart
You cant load codecs onto these images to enable playback of different formats, this has to be enabled and supported in the drivers / kernel and only the manufacturer can do that. The default media player is a product of Enigma2 not he individual image, all third party media players do is bring a new shiny GUI they dont add functionality for none supported formats.
MP4 format should already be supported but may need to be re-encoded for the image to play it properly.
Maybe it just doesnt like the audio or video bit rate have you compared another mp4 on your pc to see the difference in them ?
