  • Hi guys brilliant forum and site... Has helped me a lot but I'm a little stuck, I currently have an icecrypt s3700 with pkt hyperion v3 loaded and mgcam133.. I recently noticed I am unable to watch one encrypted channel and record one at the same time as the recorded one just freezes my emu after a few seconds.

After some searching I have manged to grasp that dual recording can not be done on mgcam for what ever reasons and I think I need oscam?

I can't seem to find any help or tutorials on how to make this work via my image or box?

Can anyone please help me the version that I will need and how I can transfer my line over from mgcamd 1.33 to oscam and if it is even possible?

    Thanks in advance karl

  • Ok managed to make oscam clear my channels now but still unable to dual record same thing is happening as was when using mgcamd....

    Please she'd some light

  • here are my confi files are they ok?

Please can some one confirm these are ok? my channels are now clearing fine but i am still unable to record on $ and watch another at the same time the channel I'm recording just b=freezes and then goes to a black screen

  • 2 things that can cause this problem. Firstly, you might have a tuner issue rather than cam issue. Have you tried disabling one tuner/feed and try watching the other and vice versa? Secondly, where are you getting your service from? Can you record a pay channel and watch a free channel and vice versa? It could be the case that wherever you are getting your service from is placing restrictions on usage. If you are recording one pay channel and trying to watch another, this is twice as many requests. Oscam has a faciliy where too many requests leads to fake CW being sent thus causing the freeze.

If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • Hi muso, thanks for the response and sorry for the late reply, new daddy commitments :-).

So I was able to test both tuners as advised and so record one $ and a fta and vise versa and this worked as expected. The line comes from my uncle who I have called to ask about the dual connections and he has set me up to revive 2 connections as appose to one, but I am still unable to make it work.. He can't offer me to much help as he only has one feed at home and is unable to test or advised on what I need todo?

He said that I should just be able to add line line twice to mgcamd and stop and restart the emu, reboot and it should all be honky dorie?

But this did not work as I thought it wouldn't as every post of snippet I have read advise I need to oscam to achieve dual recording?

    Any help is much appreciated
