ok ten i got CccamOscamInstall.sh to install by using cd to enter /tmp directory then chmon 755 /CccamOscamInstall.sh

not sure why it wouldnt work by /tmp/CccamOscamInstall.sh?

in what directory do i store all the other files mate

Check your pm m8, the complete folder containing the rest of the files should also be put in /tmp, no need to chmod that one.

  • ok my server went tits up and ive had to re install everytthing but im still get the error chmod: cannot access `/tmp/CccamOscamInstall.sh': No such file or directory ive tried running ch mod from the /tmp folder but still no joy. i have also edited the CccamOscamInstall.sh file in dcc and saved it. any other ideas lads on what im doing wrong?

ok so ive done as you said those files are not in the above locations? it the same when i ftp them across and reboot its as if they dont save?

Im guessing this is because you do not have the required permissions to transfer the files, make sure you are using the root account then it will work.

  • Honestly ten I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've wiped the sever a couple of times and started from scratch. Signing in as root is alway the first thing i do. Once I let the automated install take place I log into my server 192.168.1.7:8888 and it gives the error permission denied?

  • Should I wipe the pc and reinstall Ubuntu desktop again before using this prog tunnelier? The way things are going im inclined to jus start afresh and go thru the process bit by bit with yourselves. I must be doing something incredibly stupid

No try the programme first, there should be no need to reinstall but if you do choose this route i would suggest using Ubuntu server edition rather than desktop unless the pc is used as more than just as a server.

  • ok so i have installed and am using tunnelier (i like) and i can see my 3 oscam files in /usr/local/etc (OSCAM) but there is nothing in /var/etc (CCCAM)?

  • cant see any info at 192.168.1.7:8888 i keep getting the error access denied. surely this is the biggest fail anyone has ever had setting up a server on this site?

is there not a manual step by step process to installing as opposed to the autoamted version? i have a smargo reader ready

  • Think someone else may have to look at this bud?

For piece of my mind what's your server setup? Standalone pc that u connect to or a fully functional setup(keyboard, etc connected?)

I went from Ubuntu to Debian but would be interesting to try n fix this one????

its a standalone pc with its own keyboard n monitor using ubuntu desktop but i do all commands from windows laptop. ihave a smargo reader ready to go.

i originally had ubuntu server set ut and was able to see the web interface. not sure why i cant get it setup on desktop here?

  • Are you sure this is the correct ip that has been assigned to the server pc ?

yes ten in cmd i ifconfig and it confirms this. when i enter 192.168.1.7 with out the port i get the message:

    It works!
This is the default web page for this server.
The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

what do you think is missing mate?
