How to view 4.2.2 Channels/Feeds

  • 4.2.2 Feeds/channels are able to be viewed via the Vu ( and many linux boxes) via home streaming. This is where you tune the Vu into the channel and then stream it to your computer to view the channel.

There is probably other ways but this is how I do it.

    1. Make sure your Vu and your computer are both connected to your home network.
    2. VLC is installed on your computer.
    3. Scan in the channel you wish to view on your Vu box.
    4. In the address bar on the computer type the ip of your Vu and log into your box.
    5. Select channels from the top banners and select the channel you wish to view.
    6. To the right of the channel you select there should be a monitor icon, click that and then view.

Some things may be slightly different depending on which image and version your using.
