Just installed the openatv image on my DM800hd, but cant find where the cams menu is
and dont know how to activate the softcam(mgcamd).
Can some one let me know where in the menu is the cam
and how to install/activate the mgcamd.

OpenATV have stopped all support for softcam and emu's on their images.. You now need to use an external softcam panel like TSPanel or NewMenu OE 2.0..
Install TSPanel --> Press Menu > TSPanel > Softcams > Blue button to download / Install the emu you want to use like mgcamd > Start the softcam by pressing Green button..
Install NewMenu OE 2.0 --> Press Menu > NewMenu > Emu Manager > Blue button to download / Install the emu you want to use like mgcamd > Start the emu by pressing Green button..

You can still use the same process as above, or manually install the required cam then start / activate it in alternative softcam manager.
Which receiver are you using ?

You can, or add mipsel.ipk/mips32el.ipk or all.ipk from the link above. After installing CCcam or oscam the softcam manager will appear, if not just install a softcam manager from the link..
