Debian oscam.server etc files cant be edited through ftp???

Ok now all up and running, the only thing i cant do is edit the oscam files through ftp! , webif is a bit iffy as have added users with it yet log file says unknown user / password even when i know they are correct. I can ftp into the server but i get permission denied when i try to edit even if oscam is not running, have changed them all using sudo chmod 755 and the properties are reporting as 755 yet cant save changes! Any suggestions?

You need to setup FTP access, look HERE on how to.
You can also edit files and control your server using a terminal window (putty) with these handy commands.

Log file: tail -f /var/log/oscam.log




pico /usr/local/etc/oscam.server




pico /usr/local/etc/oscam.user




pico /usr/local/etc/oscam.conf




pico /var/etc/CCcam.cfg




killall -9 oscam




shutdown -h now




reboot




lsusb
